Dear Chicken fans:
Yeah, I know. There haven’t been any new comics in a long time. I’m sorry to say that there might not be any in the future. I meant to do it for a year. I did it for a year. I decided to do it for another year. I did it for another year. Now I’m looking for a full-time job (to replace two part time ones) and I had to let some things go. The comic started to feel like work, excepting that work you get paid for.
But, all is not lost. You see, I have something new to share with you. It’s my first novel! And right now, it’s free! That’s right! Free! (But not for long.)
It’s a great novel. It’s an urban fantasy with lots of adventure, romance, mystery, etc. Alas, no chickens feature in this book. None. Nor ducks. Nor pheasants or fowl of any sort. I still think you will enjoy it.

Here’s how it works. Go to the site and it will show you the description of the novel. If it looks like something you might like to read, scroll down and they’ll have a few different formats. Pick the one that suits your ereader. If you don’t have an ereader, and want to read it on the computer, I recommend html or pdf or rtf.
Right now, I’m considering this a beta version. I think there are likely to be issues with formatting. I already found one weird thing with java script. Also, it didn’t appear that there were any tables of contents or ways to skip ahead chapter by chapter, which is going to make it hard to read. If that’s not the case, let me know.
If you find any typos or missing words, let me know. I will change them in an updated version.
If you want to know if there’s a second novel after this, the answer is YES. The title is TREEMAKER and I’m working on it. I hope to have it up before the end of the summer.
If you have suggestions as to how I should completely rewrite the plot and change the names of the characters/town/book title, etc. Go ahead and let me know, but I am not going to incorporate those changes into an updated version.
